PCTFE rod is recommended for cryogenic application and handling of gases. PCTFE rod has better mechanical properties than other fluoropolymers and low permeability.

PCTFE, Polychlorotrifluoroethylene is a melt-processable chlorofluoropolymer. The presence of a chlorin atom, which has a greater atomic radius than that of fluorin, gives rise to irregularities in the polymer chain and reduces polymer crystallinity. This results in PCTFE having a relatively low melting point among fluoropolymers. It is also the polymer with the lowest water vapor and moisture absorption rate. It resists ignition because its Limiting Oxygen Index (LOI), which is greater than 95.



The main field of application of PCTFE is cryogenics due to the fact that it is the fluoropolymer that best retains its mechanical properties at extremely low temperatures and is therefore the least fragile of the fluoropolymers.




With excellent rigidity, low temperature and cold flow resistance, PCTFE (PolyChloroTriFluoroEthylene) is an ideal sealing material under the condition of low temperature and high pressure in enormous high-tech fields.
