FEP has very similar properties to PTFE, but has a lower maximum operating temperature of 200°C. However, this fluoroplastic can be processed by normal plastic methods.
FEP tube is made from FEP resin and prepared by the technology of extrusion. It can be used at the temperature range of -80ºC~ 200ºC.
FEP tube and PTFE tube are similar in their material properties. The main difference between PTFE tube and FEP tube is the maximum operating temperature and the colour. PTFE is milkywhite and FEP is clear transparent.
Properties
FEP tubing with virtually identical chemical resistance to PFA but at a lower price,FEP is great for general,low pressure application.
