FEP is a fluoropolymer with a chemical structure close to the one of PTFE, with only carbon-fluorin bonds.
Thus it matches PTFE's outstanding chemical resistance. It can be used in environments up to 200°C (400 F). Competitive processes like injection or direct extrusion offset its higher gross price.
FEP is often preferred in applications with high transparency and with high volume requirements.
Just like most high performance materials, it can be used in food and beverage industries, as FDA or WRAS grades are available.
FEP (fluorinated ethylene propylen),FEP tubing is good choice for tubing applications requiring chemical resistance in combination with broad temperature exposure. It maintains a continuous service temperature of 200 Deg C. Because FEP is fully fluorinated like PTFE, it is extremely inert, has excellent electrical properties, high chemical stability, low friction, excellent long term weathering and very good low temperature properties.
FEP Applications:
Aerospace &Transportation Technology, Electronics, Components & Insulators, Chemical & Pharmaceutical Manufacturing, Food Processing, Environmental Sciences, Air Sampling,Fluid Transfer Devices and Water Processing Systems
anding industries, such as Automotive, Aerospace and all kind of Fluid Handling Systems
