Product Description
FEP HEAT SHRINK TUBING
FEP can be used to make high-temperature heat shrink tubing used for reflow catheter layups. FEP is used for many purposes where sterilization and heat resistance are primary factors. It is very similar to PTFE chemically. It adds on a CF3 pendant group every fourth carbon, which dramatically lowers its crystallinity. Because it is less crystalline than PTFE, its melt temperature is lower, which allows it to be melt-processed. All of its other material properties are nearly identical to those of PTFE.
FEP (Fluorinated Ethylene Propylene) is a modified category of PTFE. It basically retains the properties of PTFE, like excellent high- low temperature resistance, chemical stability, dielectricity, high non-adhesiveness and mechanical strength. Compare to PTFE, it has better elasticity and transparency and is only 50° C lower than PTFE by limit of high temperature resistance.Features:FEP sheet is manufactured by molding and extruding method with FEP resin. FEP sheet has low coefficient of friction and a wide range of practicable temperature from -196° C ~ +200° C.Manufacturing method: Molding, injection, machinery processingExcellent electrical insulationChemical stabilityHeat resistantExcellent mechanical propertySize: Standard & custom madeTypical Applications:Petrochemical and chemical processingElectrical applicationsSemi-Conductor IndustryFood, Beverage and Pharmaceutical industriesLaboratory applicationsSpecification (mm):Sheet: Molded sheet thickness 1-50mm, width 100-1000mm, length100-2000mm,Blown film thickness 0.03-0.2mm, width reduced dia less than 600mm, length more than 10000mm;Molded rod: Dia 5-25mm Length200mm;Dia 30-100mm, Length100-150mmExtruded tube: Dia3-25mm, Length any lengthDia 26-200, Length less than 4200mmTechnical index:
